Import of vehicles to Iceland

All travellers to Iceland with a foreign-registered vehicle are required to complete an online declaration form before arrival. This requirement helps ensure a smooth entry and compliance with local regulations.

The Icelandic Customs authority, "Skatturinn", will email you up to 30 days before departure with detailed instructions and a unique link to the online form for your booking.

Permanent import of vehicles to Iceland is not available without manifesting and custom clearance.

If a passengers vehicle is bound for registration and permanent import to Iceland the cost for documenting, manifesting and custom clearing is ISK 59.300. Please contact manifest@cargo.fo for further information.
